Mulled Wine & Keeping Active

Mulled Wine at the Old Church and Active Essex

Mulled wine

Not normally known to go together, enjoying Mulled Wine & seasonal treats followed with a visit to Active Essex’s website. Why not?

Mince Pies, Mulled Wine, Music & Conviviality

Mulled wine & mince pies return after quite a long absence while the Old Church was being decorated and, subsequently, Covid-19. Set in the Old Church, this event is always well attended. Catch up with friends pre Christmas whilst enjoying a glass of mulled wine and seasonal food. There is a warm friendly atmosphere, delicious homemade mince pies and savoury bites. There is also an opportunity to purchase:

  • Christmas cards featuring the old church in the snow,
  • hand-made Christmas decorations & gifts,

… in aid of the church.

This year Octavia Singers, a local singing group will be singing carols and Christmas songs in the church from about 1 pm.

This year you can enjoy this on 28th November between 11:30 am – 1:30 pm. Admission is free although donations are always welcomed.

Active Essex

Local activity venues

Active Essex exists to help improve everybody’s health & wellbeing.  You will have seen occasional initiatives advertised on this website before but one you might have missed is their ‘Activity Finder‘.  This exists for both those running activities and those seeking them.

Do you run activities designed to improve the health & wellbeing of those attending? If so you can post details of them on the Active Essex website totally free of charge.

If you want to partake in activities you can choose from those you attend in person or some can be streamed to your home either by live stream or on demand.
